How SoundSync Calculates Developer Charges
Current fee concepts, worked examples with fake values, refund/dispute treatment, and configuration boundaries.
SoundSync
Minimum Paid Product Price
Products sold through SoundSync checkout must be priced at $9.99 or higher.
Paid checkout rule
Minimum product price: $9.99 for paid products.
Free products
Products can still use supported free, promo, manual grant, reseller, migration, serial-generator, or external-redemption flows where configured. The $9.99 minimum applies to paid products sold through SoundSync checkout.
Checkout validation
Checkout pricing is validated server-side, so product price, sale price, promo codes, subscriptions, and checkout totals should be configured with the paid-product minimum in mind.

Worked examples
Fake values only.
| Scenario | Example | Important boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Direct sale | $100 product, $10 platform share, remaining developer share before settlement deductions. | Use server order/ledger fields, not browser math. |
| Marketplace-attributed sale | $100 sale with marketplace attribution may record marketplace revenue sharing. | Marketplace fee/revenue share depends on current implementation/config. |
| Refund | $100 refund creates negative/clearing/recovery accounting where enabled. | Refund does not mean every metric updates synchronously. |
| Email usage | Usage appears through marketing/billing services when enabled. | Do not claim legal compliance or unlimited sending. |
Configuration boundary
If a fee is configurable or not finalized, docs should point to billing status/current charges and public pricing separately rather than hard-coding business plans.
